Jow dien Yves rockt wel hard. Wie is dat feitelijk ofzo?

We gingen hem normaal voor een elektro-feestje naar Leuven halen (samen met oa Lectroluv, ...). Maar hebben het uiteindelijk afgeblazen omdat de datum samen met I Love Techno viel.
(En de dag ervoor wilden we ons ook perce lodderzat kunnen drinken te Wipe Out in Aqualibi)

is mijn eerste mix dus breek me niet af commentaar is altijd welkom duurt ongeveer een halfuur

een mix van club, techno , electronic
Paar tips:

1. Leer beatmatchen.
2. Blijf van uw pitch als uw liedjes spelen.
3. Zet uw gain zachter.
4. Blijf van uw equaliser en effectjes. Je kan er niet mee omgaan.
5. Blijf bij één genre of zie alleszins dat uw liedjes allemaal wat bij elkaar liggen qua BPM.

Tis niet dat dien maar 1 set per avond kan draaien he.
Nuja, wegens het feit dat we te grote concurrentie zouden gehad hebben van ILT en ook wel wat wegens luiheid, hebben we het maar zo gelaten :)
Ooìt komt het er wel eens van.

Vooral vanuit La Rocca dan (waar een goede vriend van mij regelmatig draait)

Ook nog een hele boel oudere, retro sets.

Hoho, wat een set. Ik kan niet ontkennen dat ik het leuk materiaal vind, maar die hardcore deuntjes ben ik wel altijd vrij snel beu. Dan toch liever wat gevariëerde breakcore. :love:
Anyhow, ik wil meer lol.

Yuo asked, mesa played. Veel breakcore en van alle soorten wat maar ook met een gezonde dosis hardcore er nog in. Wel veel minder intensief dan vorige keer... Anyhoo, heb moeite om samenhang te vinden in men sets, deze hangt persoonlijk maar met fijne draadjes aan mekaar. Nuja, zal het wel leren, ben er nog niet zo lang met bezig. :)

Nieuwe set is af.

Deze is weer puur raving hardcore goodness met wat gabber kicks op het einde, al ben ik niet echt content op het mixen. Maar het is wel beter dan de vorige 2, thats fo sho. 35 minuten.

Naar aanleiding van FUCK THE STUDENTS! (http://forum.shrimprefuge.be/showthread.php?t=1223) heb ik een breakcore setje in mekaar gestoken als entry. Aangezien hier wel altijd een paar geintresseerden zijn heb ik hem ineens op sendspace gesmeten.

Duurt (maar) 22 minuten, big up naar: s.i.m on korfunkle, micron, rotator, shitmat, bong-ra en androgyn network (ja, weeral :naughty: )

Ben het ook eens aan het afspelen.

Is me net te traag. Sommige tracks hebben nog net genoeg percussie om het "vooruit" te laten gaan.

Soms zijn de overgangen wat kut omdat deze waren afgesteld op mijn VST's. Echt geen goesting om die set helemaal gans opnieuw te spelen en te modifien 'n shit.

Is dubstep hoor ...

En fluff, laat de kritiek op wel goedgedraaide sets maar mooi zijn.
En vooral bij jump blijven.

edit: Ze hebben Skream fout geschreven bij wikipedia en Djunya zijn ze vergeten :(

Ej wtf stom wijf, ik zeg gewoon dat het VOOR MIJ iets te traag is. ik heb de set volledig uitgeluisterd. Het klinkt goed en het is goed gemixed, maar het is voor mij iets te trage muziek.
Kritiek? NOT AT ALL! gij zijt echt wel een dom belachelijk wijf dat bij elke gelegenheid wil scoren door fluffybashing te doen, maar eigenlijk compleet naast de pot pist.

Ej wtf stom wijf, ik zeg gewoon dat het VOOR MIJ iets te traag is. ik heb de set volledig uitgeluisterd. Het klinkt goed en het is goed gemixed, maar het is voor mij iets te trage muziek.
Kritiek? NOT AT ALL! gij zijt echt wel een dom belachelijk wijf dat bij elke gelegenheid wil scoren door fluffybashing te doen, maar eigenlijk compleet naast de pot pist.

tijd voor nog eens een setje te maken was mijn gedacht. traktor dj studio gebruikt wegens niet beter, ik heb echt dringend terug platenspelers nodig. :(

algemeen: mp3, 192kbps, 31 minuten

genre: van drum'n'bass naar darkstep naar hardcore/breakcore naar nog iets harder. beetje spectrum laten zien wat je allemaal kan hebben qua breaky electronische muziek; er zijn er nog veel meer, dit is gewoon een voorproefje. heb getracht het beetje toegankelijk te maken voor mensen die ook niet direkt fan zijn van de hardere breaks (zie tracklisting)

Ook te veel house en sommige platen zijn al serieus kapotgedraaid. Wel lollige trainwreck tussen Push Push en Raven daar.

Vanwaar is dien intro feitelijk?

Dat house is nogal in hé nu..
Die kapotgedraaide platen is dan ook omdat ik het setje in juli gemaakt hebt, al een eindje geleden dus.
Die trainwreck is dus een slecht stuk? Moet ik nog eens beluisteren, maar ik weet dat ik ergens technisch een probleem had..

Zou graag nog wat meer technische kritiek :-)

A massive dark dubstep and grime onslaught combined with early Aphex aesthetics. This is music that prowls the fine line between the deadly funky and utterly caustic, a decade of bass science squeezed through a sonic mangle. Bringing elements of electronica, techno, breaks and neo-classical sound design to dubstep and grime arrangements, Vex’d craft some of the rudest, rubberiest, most mangled, stretched and strung-out bass lines you’ll ever have the pleasure of hearing.

Jamie and Roly met in London as teenagers – both regularly attendees of Full Cycle and Metalheadz. This interest waned as D&B moved into the new millennium, instead they find inspiration from early dubstep, 8-bar, sublow and grime records being played on the pirate stations at the time. Together they decided to explore their own reinterpretation of this sound and ‘Vex’d’ was born – cold, twisted alien music charged with sub bass and raw energy – bringing elements of heavy metal and neo-classical sound design to dubstep and grime arrangements.

Vex’d made a huge impression when they emerged with their first release ‘Pop Pop’ in 2004 – switching on heads to their unique sound from all sorts of musical directions. Respected heads included the late, great John Peel as well as key figures involved in dubstep and grime at the time (e.g. Kode 9, J Da Flex and The Plastician). The follow up release ‘Lion’ cemented their reputation as an awesome production duo, pushing forward with a rhythmically innovative, apocalyptic sound. On hearing these releases Vex’d were approached by Planet Mu for an album deal, resulting in 2005’s landmark LP ‘Degenerate’ which has sold worldwide and turned many new ears on to a genuinely different and inspiring sound.

They have found their music supported on BBC Radio One by the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs and the influential Breezeblock show – where they have recorded a number of guest mix sessions including one for the now-legendary Dubstep Warz show, aired in January 2006. Since then, Vex’d have been all around the world gigging, playing large events and festivals such as Glade in the UK, across Europe, the USA tour – even reaching Israel. They play together in a live/DJ crossover format whereby Jamie mixes up a cutting-edge dubplate selection while Roly layers deeper and deeper levels of atmospherics and carefully crafted sound design through his lap top and portable mixing desk.

Ik heb bij hoog en laag zitten verkondigen dat dat het slechtste feestje van 2007 was en de meest teleurstellende set van Panacea ooit, maar ik moet bekennen dat het nog best een vette set is, 't moet aan het volkje daar gelegen hebben =) Goeie darkstep, d'n'b en hier en daar wat schraalheid.

Nja, dustrickx durft nog al eens arrogant te zijn over zijn sets, maar 't is eigenlijk nog wel een fijne kerel. Die set is echt vet, heeft me weer zin doen krijgen om heel Alright! van Bogdan Raczynski nog eens op te leggen in plaats van enkel La Baleine :)

Jip, het is alleszins dezelfde set als die van op Pukkelpop 2006. Zalig om het live mee te maken btw. Zeker de moeite om eens te beluisteren.
