John Schwartzman, vroegere DP van Michael Bay (The Rock, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor), schiet de film analoog.

Making use of both 35mm and 65mm Kodak film, in combination with Panavision equipment, they’re opting out of shooting digitally. While [Colin Trevorrow]'s yet to give a definitive reason, a bit of quick research on IMDB gives you the impression that he’s trying to keep the aesthetic of the first three films, all three of which were shot on Panavision equipment and Kodak film.

Wtf ... die omgekeerde jeep waar de T-rex in aan het bijten is tijdens de eerste aanval is CGI? Nooit ook maar het vermoeden gehad dat dat niet echt was. Dacht dat ze gewoon een kapotte jeep heen en weer aan het schudden waren toen.
Bewijst nog maar eens hoe goed het toen allemaal was.

Eigenlijk gek dat sommige moderne films met een monsterbudget dan zo'n ballenzuigende CGI hebben die zelfs niet in de buurt komt van dat. Echt indrukwekkend

Jep. En te bedenken dat ze het eerst in go motion (stop motion met motion blur) gingen doen. In The Making of Jurassic Park zitten daar nog beelden van. Zeker de moeite om eens te zien, ook om een idee te krijgen van Spielbergs geniale common sense en showmanship die veel hedendaagse spektakelregisseurs en -producers ontberen. Zie Peter Jackson.
